Just Cute Bears~ Open Theme

This week at Just Cute Bears we have an 'Open Theme' which basically means
you can decide yourself what you would like to do, don't forget to check out what
the rest of the team have made, oh and the lovely prize on offer made by Annie
Its my Sisters Birthday next week so i decided i would make her Birthday card using one of the LOTV bears, this one is so sweet holding the sunflowers. I had to ask OH "What colour is the middle of a sunflower" lol.... In the end i googled it and there where many different colours

The image has been coloured in with a mixture of Copic and Prisma pencils, lil bit of glamour dust for the flutterflies :) The card stock is from DCWV, paper is from the paper pack. The Fiskars sunburst punch has been used for the border edging, little word punch from SU! for the greeting. The buttons where made from a sizzlets die i have which i had forgotten all about, just need some string really for the thread.

The sketch i followed was from 'Sketch Saturday' thank you for the inspiration girls your cards are lovely, as always. I can also enter this into Teddy Stamper which is 'Summer Bears', first time i have entered this challenge.

I think today is going to be even hotter than yesterday, its very hot already at 8.30am. I only made my card last night, bit of a rush lol.... but i made it phew, hence why i am up so early as needed to take a photo and upload it before 9am. I hope you all have a great day and "Come on England", think we will need a lot of luck to beat the Germans but hey ho strange things are happening in this World cup.

Wedding Day

Wedding Day

This is the other commission card i was asked to make, so different to the last one but equally as nice i think. I am pleased to say the guy who ordered them was extremely pleased phew....
Once again i used the largest of the LOTV image from the die cute sheet, some matting and layering with red and silver card stock. The greeting was once again computer generated using Chopin font just great for weddings and engagements etc.

I have made no cards this week so far, mainly because its to hot and i can't be bothered.. I think my mojo may have gone on his holidays, hopefully he will be back real soon. I'm not moaning about the weather as its beautiful ,long may it last i say as would be lovely to have a nice long summer for a change. I think we have had more BBQ's this year than we have had in the last two years in total, love BBQ's as it means no cooking for moi lol..... Anyway folks enjoy the sunshine, will hopefully catch up with you real soon.

The Challenge this week at Just Cute Bears is 'Monochrome'
Sadly Alison has had to step down from running the Just Cute Bears challenge, will
miss you so much Ali hopefully in the not to distant future you will be back with us.
Cathy has very kindly taken over the running of the blog, so we are still able to share our
ideas and inspirations with you, thanks Cathy.
I have to admit i did struggle with this challenge, i don't know why but i had to keep stopping and thinking blue, blue only blue lol.... i did sneak a little bit of white in there though hope this is ok.

The papers are all SU! which made things a little easier for me as they all blend so well together.
The image is from Elyzbell i have had this stamp for a while and do love it for baby cards, coloured with Copics and a little bit of paper piercing for the blanket. The little flowers have been punched out with the retro punches, buttons and bow are from my stash.

I hope you are all having a nice weekend and that the weather is good for you, its ok here as i type but then again this is a scheduled post so don't know what it will be like by the time you read this. Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads out there, hope you all have a smashing day.

A Friendly Challenge From Sue

Ruby Wedding Anniversary
If you have visited Sues Blog you will of seen that earlier in the week I challenged Sue to make a card using our SU! stash which we have been collecting and not using lol... Sue was much faster off the mark than me and posted her card a few days ago.

This set is the A Rose is a Rose set, i used this to make a card for my sister and her husband who will be celebrating their 40th Wedding anniversary tomorrow, so it will be thier ruby hence why the roses are in a nice deep shade of red. The sentiment has been done on the PC using Chopin font, cut out with nestabilities. The design paper is also from SU! from the rose red collection, MS punch for border.

Its been a lovely summers day here today, i feel so tired this evening though think the heat makes you tired! Well that's my excuse lol.... Have a nice evening everyone xx

Wedding Season

Wedding Season
The Wedding season is certainly upon us, this is the second card i have been asked to make. I do love making Wedding cards though don't you?

This card has been made with a LOTV die cut its the largest image on the sheet and fits nicely on this 8x8 card.

The vellum is from my stash can't remember where i got it from but wished i had got more lol... I have layered it onto a piece of buttermilk yellow card which was then matted onto gold mirri card, think it blends beautifully with the image.

The sentiment has been done on the PC as they wanted it personalised the font i used is called Chopin, i don't think its grammatically correct but hey ho that's what was requested lol....

Just Cute Bears~ Here Comes Summer

This is the challenge this week at 'Just Cute Bears'
Lets hope we get some nice summery weather this week
I have made an easel card using 'Bikini Bear' from Cuddly Buddly coloured with Copics and prisma pencils.

The cloud paper is from Pink petticoat the other paper is the Miss Daisy set from Cuddly Buddly, as is the greeting 'Gentle days and lazy ways' i only wish that's how we could spend our summer day :)

The swirls are from the Tim Holtz flourish die, i just chopped it in two and added some glitter, so it kind of looked like waves lol... Couples of MS punches have been used.

Looking forward to visiting your blogs to see what you come up with, don't forget to check the other girls blogs they have made some smashing cards yet again this week.... they would love you to leave them a little comment.

Sketch Saturday ~ 106

LOTV Sailing Boat

I just loved the sketch this week on Sketch Saturday and this is my interruption using one of my new LOTV stamps, that i was so happy to win :) These certainly are easy to colour and 'Oh' so very cute don't you think? The image has mainly been coloured with Copics but had to use my prisma pencils on his shorts as didn't have any reds in my copics collection.

The papers are from Pink Petticoat when i first printed them out i thought them a bit bold but i like them now everything has been added, this is the Checkered set and the Harlequin set in Navy. The border punch is a Martha Stewert one, greeting is from SU! Pearls are from my stash.

I think i might use this sketch on my next card and use another of my LOTV stamps :) I had better dash and get myself ready for work, bye xxx

I have used Copics and prisma pencils again, papers are from SU! always seem to revert to these when doing male cards, although i am going to treat myself to some delicious male papers from Cuddly Buddly especially as Kim has a sale on right now :) So go check them out...

I hope the sun is shining where you are after the awful day we had yesterday, suppose the gardens need it! Have a good day folks...
