Just Cute Bears~ A sketch

A Sketch by Jane

This is the challenge for you all this week on Just Cute Bears
Don't forget to pop along and take a look at what the design team have come up with.

I have used one of the ever so cute Busy Bears from LOTV, they arrived just in the nick of time for me to get my card completed. The image has been coloured in with a mixture of Promarkers and Copic, i'm still trying to learn the basics of shading with these and i'm not doing very well :( Think i will have to get my prismas back out. The DP is from SU which helps as all the colours blend nicely together, so you don't have to think to hard lol....

As you are reading this i will be in Blackpool :) Neil and i are off there to meet up with friends from his army days, ohh some 23 years ago !!! It should be fun, although we have never been to a reunion before so don't know what to expect.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend and that the sun is shining where every you are xx

Baby Season

This card i made a little while ago and forgot to upload it. It has been made with a cute set of Verve stamps that i won a while ago, just great for baby cards. The image I coloured with prisma pencils giving a lovely soft edge. The papers are Cuddly Buddly downloads, but can't remember which set at the minute, probably the aqua set. My all time favourite MS doily punch has been used, although i have to say its playing up at the minute :( The greeting was done on the PC as wanted to personalise it.

Hope you have lovely weather where every you are, its a little dull and over cast at the minute but I'm hoping it will brighten up as we are off to Blackpool. Don't forget to check back tomorrow as it Just Cute Bears challenge day.

Happy 60th

I have given my Cricut a dusting off and put it to some use lol... i have had this machine about 2 years and have seldom used it, shame on me. I have a few monumental birthday to make cards for this year, so thought I'd cut some nice BIG numbers just to rub it in lol.. I have then run the top layer of the number through the Cuttlebug using Swiss dots folder, this one is still my favourite. The background paper was stamped with a little flower out of the SU Vintage vogue set, the little butterfly is from the flight of Butterfies set, stamped onto card stock with white ink. The flowers are from my stash, white flowers are made using Nellies punch and emboss set. The greeting has been done on the computer, MS doily punch for lace edging.

Just Cute Bears ~ ' One for the boys'

Wow what a week we had on Just Cute Bears, you certainly did like last weeks challenge there where so many lovely cards made by you all, well done everyone.

The design team have come up with some fabby cards this week, so don't forget to pay them a visit and it would be lovely if you could leave a comment, makes it all worth while.

Phew i just managed to get this completed in time. I had to rely on my PC crafter downloads a Bear for all seasons set as i don't as yet have any bears suitable for men's card. I have used a combination of papers, one from my stash the other from my SU collection of papers. The greeting is a Hobby art stamp. I think that's about it, that the thing with men's cards they have less fuss about them, no flowers or pretty frills lol...
I hope you have all had a good week? The weather certainly has been lovely today. I feel so sorry for all the poor people who had holidays booked this week, my sister included :( She has at least been able to re -book it for Monday so lets hope all is ok then.

PTW 'Cute' as can be...

The challenge on PTW is 'Cute' well you don't get much more cute than this lil fella, isn't he adorable? He is from LOTV and has been coloured in with a mixture of promarkers and Copics, still playing about with these to try and get the right shading. The papers are from Pink Petticoat, i just love gingham's for baby cards. This card is for one of my colleagues at work who had a baby boy on Saturday weighing 8lb 9oz, well done Courtney.

Just Cute Bears ~ 'Flowers'

This weeks challenge at Just Cute Bears is

"Flowers"

Don't forget to check out the other girls blogs as they have made some amazing cards yet again this week. I have enjoyed visiting all the blogs, I hope you will join in with us again this week.

This card is a huge 8x8 size, boy does it takes some filling lol... The Popcorn Bear stamp helped as it is a fairly decent sized image, I had to use the largest nestie scallop to cut it out as wouldn't fit any of the other. The image has been coloured with a mixture of medium, from promarkers to copics and the brown prisma pencil for the bear shading. The papers are 'Cottage digi papers' from Cuddly Buddly, thought they went well with the flowers that Popcorn is holding.
This card was for my MIL whose Birthday it was yesterday, she was trilled with it so that's the main thing.

I hope you have all been enjoying the nice warm weather? Neil has promised us a BBQ today if the weather stays nice, so watch it go and rain now lol.... then i will have to cook dinner.

Rosy Posy

I have promised myself to join in with a few challenges in the coming week and what better way to start than with a fabby sketch by Dawny on the 'Papertake weekly' blog. The yummy papers are from a JS CD called precious petals, aren't they lovely? I do like the colour combo of peach and pale blue, lovely pastel colours. I have coloured Rosy Posy from LOTV with Promarkers, just for a change. The punch is one from SU and the greeting is dome on the PC as wanted to personalise it for one of the young girls in work who is 18 tomorrow, Happy Birthday Michelle :)
I hope you have been enjoying the lovely weather today, I love spring everything seems so colourful. Well i hope the weather lasts until the weekend as I'm off :) all weekend.

Butterfly Card

Firstly i have to say I'm fairly pleased with this card, that doesn't happen too often lol.. The background has been stamped with my new Bella Toile stamp from SU, its a huge stamp and stamps just perfectly. The Butterfly is a Marianne cuttables die which i have cut twice in contrasting colours to give a little bit of dimension. The lovely lilac bow was made by moi with my bow easy, the wider the ribbon the better the bow :) MS doily punch and little pearls for effect, making it all pretty and nice. The sentiment stamp is by 'Papermake Up' in a set called 'The Purpose of Friends'.
Well off to make my card for Papertake weekly or thats the plan if i can tear myself away from the PC lol.. Have a good day everyone :)

Just Cute Bears Colour Challenge

Just Cute Bear Challenge

Yellow & Green

I really struggled with this challenge this week as anyone that know me will know i don't like Green its my least favourite colour, I'm a pastel girl at heart. This is one of my new stamps from LOTV as my friend Linda said he looks a little like Penfold from Danger Mouse. I have coloured him in with Promarkers and prisma pencils, still debating about Copics. The papers are from Stampin up!, Ek punch for the border and lil pearls from stash. The card looks a little plain, have left off the sentiment until i know what occasion i will use it for, may be it needs a flower or two?
Have a great Easter everyone x

This is the first time i have joined the Any One For Anya Challenge which is a great sketch by Dawny this week, so easy to follow thanks Dawny for the inspiration and the motivation to make a card. I have used one of the sweet little Pixies from CC Designs which you can now use in the challenge, she is a digi download that has been on my PC for some time, shame i know as she is so sweet. I have coloured her with Promarkers and used my new hearts MS punch that i bought at the NEC.

A Little Gift

I made this little box for 4 little Teelight candles i bought form IKEA, they are rose fragrance so thought i would use my SU' A Rose Is A Rose' set of stamps, shamefully this is their first inking up tut tut. I made my bow with the bow easy which makes life so much easier when it comes to doing pretty bows.

Well whats happened to the weather? Its blinking cold here today and very wet and windy, at least we have no snow.

I had a lovely time at the weekend at the NEC, spent far to much money lol...I met up with my lovely friends from Cuddly Buddly and we shopped until we dropped :) It was lovely to meet Jacqui and Marlene, both lovely lovely ladies. Thanks to Dawny P for her company on the train down to Birmingham, it made the journey a pleasureable one.
Oh well best get going as have promised Dawny i will make my card for the Anya Challenge this week.

Easter
The challenge this week at Just Cute Bears is Easter.
Don't forget to take a look at the other girls blog they made some great cards this week.

Phew i struggled this week to come up with an image for this challenge, but then remember about my PC crafter images i have stored in my archives lol... This bear is from the Bear for all seasons set, so you may well be seeing some more of these. I printed the image out onto linen card then cut out with my nesties. The papers are digi papers from Cuddly Buddly , the Miss Daisy set again, just love the colours.

A Funny Card

This card is for my friends husband, its his birthday tomorrow and i just knew this image was the right one for him when i saw it lol..... I hope he finds it funny, I'm sure he will.
The image was stamped for my by a friend, some time ago so i have no idea whose it is (sorry)
Its a basic card just using coordinating card stock from SU, with a few stars punched with my Quickutz.
I am this weekend at the NEC with my lovely Cuddly Buddly friends :) I'm sure we will have great fun, so looking forward to catching up with everyone. I'm very lucky to have the company of Dawny P tomorrow on my journey down there :) I'm hoping to see a few blogging friends too :) I will tell you all about it on my return Monday evening, with an update of what i have spend my hard earned cash on.

Just Cute Bears #9 'A Sketch'

This week is a sketch by Jane, its a great sketch to follow.

This week at Just Cute Bears we have a sketch by Jane. I have done something completely different this week and used a download from Cuddly Buddly, Bath time Bear in blue its also available in pink for the girls. The card isn't my usual 6x6 square, instead i have used a 5x7, defo out of my comfort zone lol... The bubbles have had glamour dust added to them to give them a little bit of a shimmer.
I have a whole week off next week so hope to participate in a few challenges, mind i said that last time i was off! I'm excited as am off to the NEC next weekend with some of my Cuddly Buddly pals, we will have so much fun :)
