SCSC~ Shape up for spring

This weeks Challenge at 'Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge' is 'Shape Up For Spring' (Shaped Cards) I think its should of been Shape Up for Summer! The weather certainly has been beautiful this week hasn't it? And guess what? I have been off ALL week, how lucky have I been to have such great weather.

I have used a Penny Black Stamp this week just for a change, I do love this wee little duckie its the expression on his/her face that makes me giggle. There isn't a lot of colouring to be done on this one so didn't take long to do at all lol... nice quick and simple. I just realised that i didn't really make a shaped card! Whoops I made an Easel card with a circle topper, silly women I am,to late to change it now so hope I am forgiven for mucking it up lol..

SCSC ~ Vintage/Shabby Chic

This weeks Secret Crafters Challenge is 'Vintage/Shabby Chic'
I have to admit when I  saw this weeks challenge I thought 'OH NO' I don't do Vintage or Shabby lol....So was well out of my comfort zone.

I have used a Saturated Canary digi called Whispy A Fairy isn't she so sweet, all of Krista's images are cute though. The papers are from a K&Company pad that I have had for some time now, the swirl and flowers are Doohickey dies.

 As you are reading this I will be on my way to the NEC for a spot of retail therapy with my fabby friend and  SCSC teamie Linda :) It just happens to be Linda's Birthday tomorrow -'Happy Birthday my dear friend' xx

The Grandchildren

I thought I would share a photo of my grandchildren with you since I don't have any cards to share. I just love the expression on Sara's face, she is looking at her little brother David as if to say "What are you doing" lol... I can't believe how quickly she is growing , she will be 4 months old tomorrow. 

Oh well I best get myself organised as I am off to Birmingham tomorrow for the weekend to meet up with my very dear friend Linda :) We are staying at the Holiday Inn for 2 nights and visiting the NEC on Saturday. So who else is going tomorrow? I expect it will be very busy so best get there early ;)

SCSC~ Doilies Are Not Just For Cakes

                    This week at Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge it was my turn to decide what the challenge would be so I picked ~ 'Doilies' because I think they are a great feature on a card, have seen so many lovely cards made with them. You can make your own or die cut them so I am sure this will be a popular challenge this week. 

I was intending to use a square doily but it hid all the lovely paper which are from Nitwits 'Bumbleberry Too' collection.so I turned my square into a rectangle by chopping a bit off and the sticking it back on lol..

I have seen some lovely cards lately on the Magnolia Facebook group that it inspired me to dig one of my stamps out, think this one is from the chic range, can't remember now! The poor think was hiding at the back of my stamp drawer looking all neglected (Shame on me) I have coloured her with my usual mix of markers and Prisma pencils. I have another addiction Doohickey Dies, I have admired this flower for some time now so decided to treat myself  I call it an early Mothers Day gift to myself lol..

Teddy Bo ~ Menu Choice

I have used another Teddy Bea image, this only one of the images I picked as part of for my prize when i won the Teddy Bo 1st Birthday draw.

 I have coloured her with Prisma pencils. The papers are from the Dovecrafts' Back To Basics' paper pad, love the lovely pink papers in this pack. 

I have followed the menu on the Teddy Bo Challenge this week, have to confess the cram looks more beige whoops. Anyway this is my Menu -

 Starter ~ Pink and Cream, Main ~ Buttons, Dessert ~ Ribbon, Coffee ~Glitter.

 The ticket sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly, Birthday Greeting and ribbon are from SU! Oh well best get a wiggle on as I am well behind today and have loads to do before I can fit in a little more crafting.

SCSC~' No Image, Just Words'

This weeks Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge is 'No Image, Just Words' I have used a 'Paper Makeup' sentiment stamp that I have had in my collection for some time and never used, shame on me. I cut the greeting out with Nesties and layered it onto the oval lace die by Marianne's Creatables. The pretty border is another Fiskars die called Sunburst, sets it off nicely don't you think?

D'Arcy's Diaries Challenge ~ Anything Goes

Here is my card for the first ever D'Arcy's Diaries Challenge ~'Anything Goes'

I was so excited when I saw they where going to start a challenge for these sweet little images.I have coloured 'Swinging Blues' in with Promarkers and Prisma pencils, adding some glamour dust to the wings. 

The papers are from Dovecrafts which i spotted whilst shopping in Hobbycrafts last weekend, they are so pretty in different shades of pink. The lacy border was made with one of my first ever border punches, its by Fiskars and is still working fine, although I think some people had problems with theirs.

I am also entering my card into the following challenges 'Sketch and Stash' which is a fab sketch by Jill and Papertake weekly which is 'Anything Goes'

SCSC~ Green For Go

This weeks Secret Crafters Challenge is 'Green For Go'.

Now I have to confess I am not a lover of Green, but quite like this card even though it is Green.I have used a Teddy Bea image, coloured with Promarkers and Prisma pencils, doesn't she looked relaxed chilling out in the sunshine, roll on summer ... Sugar Bowl Challenge ~ 78

I have finally got around to having a play and taking part in a few challenges.

This little cutie is from Funky Kits and is one of the Sherbet Pips 'Candy Pip' coloured with a mixture of Promarkers and Prisma pencils.

 I have followed the Maria Theresa's sketch over at the Sugar Bowl and the colour combo is for the Sugarly Sunday Challenge on Facebook. The papers I have had for a while so can't remember what they are lol.  I hope you will pop back tomorrow to see what I have made for the SCSC.Have a good evening everyone xx

Here is a little card made for a friend whose Dad passed away, just to let her know we are thinking of her.I have used a LOTV die cut, always great for a nice quick easy card. I haven't a clue what the papers are called as have had them for so long, but thought they would go with the image perfectly. I have used my Magnolia swirly die which I have to say I can see me using quite a bit lol... these dies cut beautifully.

The sentiment is Curly Sentiments from SU! stamped in chocolate chip ink.

I am getting quite excited as its nearly March , that means only a few more weeks until NEC time :) I will be meeting up with my lovely friend Linda, we are having a two night stay at the Holiday Inn in Birmingham, so looking forward to it.

SCSC ~ White On White

This week Secret Crafters Challenge is 'White On White' 

I have used a Vellum topper and greeting by Sue Smith that I have had for many many moons, just some of my neglected stash that I am sure we all have.

I have embossed a piece of white card with a SU! embossing folder then edged it with peel off! Gosh been a whiles since I have used any of them lol... used to use them all the time when I first started crafting. The rectangle frame is a Marianne Creatables die, ribbon and pearls from stash.

Time Goes Oh So Quickly

No cards from me this week as have been feeling under the weather! I have had a horrible sore throat  and cough, its drove me mad of a night not being able to sleep for coughing.

Anyway I thought I would share a recent photo with you of our little Granddaughter Sara who is now 12 weeks old! as the saying goes "They are not babies for long" This is her standing on Nanna's knee, as you can see she has a double chin just like mine lol...

I have been a very lucky girl this week and won the amazing prize from Teddy Bo , I am so looking forward to playing with ALL my goodies when I have decided what I would like from the amazing collection of digi's.

The best bit is I get 3 framed hand drawn images of my choosing, which will take print of place in my craft room.

D'Arcy's 'Angel Heart'

Morning its a very dull, wet morning here in Cheshire so I will apologies for the poor photo quality I have had to use the daylight lamp.

It was my day off yesterday so thought I would have a play with one of the new D'Arcy digi stamps from D'Arcy's Diaries she is called 'My Heart' I have coloured her with Copics and Prismas pencils.

I am so looking forward to the next release which is next Thursday, having seen a few samples made by the DT I think a few may be winging there way to me :)
